BUSHMANS KLOOF, CEDERBERG MOUNTAINS
OUR CUSTODIANSHIP AND COMMUNITY INITIATIVES
We have run a number of Spiritual and Sacred Journey’s to the Bushmans Kloof, where we have befriended the owners of the Serville Trail and have done some research on the Rock Art trail there.
Our initiative here is to further assist the community in realizing their role as custodians, developing and helping with training more Rock Art guides and creating a platform for historic re-inactments, workshops and events that showcase the life ways and spiritual beliefs of the early stone age peoples and the San Bushman.

SPIRITUAL SIGNIFICANCE AND INTERPRETATION
This was a special place that was on the migratory path of the elephants and other grazing animals moving from the West Coast to the East Coast.
As the seasons changed so the animals moved to areas that provided better browsing and grazing, following passage ways that contained water and food along the way.
Bushman’s Kloof is one of these magical places filled with abundance of water and food for the ancient people who lived deeply with the Nature and Spirit that surrounds and enshrines these sacred caves and shelters.
It was here that the San peoples would have spent time in ceremony and dance, as is shared in their rock paintings, and where the Shamans would go into trance and shift into different levels and dimensions of consciousness, communicating with the spirit of their ancestors, through and into the cosmic star realms and star beings, deep into the womb and inner world of Mother Earth.
